Directions

Okay, so just to give you a little direction, I don't usually post on this particular page.   My recent posts can all be seen under the specific tabs.  I most often post on the journal and recipe portions.  If you're looking for something controversial, I will direct you to the Bible Lessons page.  Feel free to comment with your opinions even if you aren't saying "Praise God" (though those are appreciated now and again.)
I hope you enjoy my blog!

FREE Online or Downloadable Bible's

I have promised to upload a link to an online or downloadable Bible.  This is the keeping of that promise.

Downloadable Bible:  http://www.e-sword.net/
This is the one I use because I can use it while not connected to the internet.  Also, it has lots of helpful commentaries, "marginal" references and a note-taking section where you can record your own Bible studies.  There is a huge repertoire of Bible translations that you can download, most of them free.  Once you have the initial program, you can add and remove any other commentary, book, study, Bible version, dictionary, etc.
It is free to download and you can also add some Ellen White book commentaries on http://www.sharpeningthesword.net/ as well as the SDA Sabbath School quarterly.
You can customize the layout of the screen.

Online Bible:  http://www.biblegateway.com/
Bible Gateway is good for doing searches.  Type in any Bible verse, phrase, or word to find it.  They also have many different Bible versions you can use.

Hardcopy Bible:  Many Christian bookstores have a good selection of Bibles to choose from.

Hopefully, this improves your study experience so you can dig into God's word for yourself.

Welcome to Person, Place, Poem!

Introduction
I'm excited to get going with this blog!  I already have three other pages: Diana's Journal, Diana's Home Recipes and Diana's Bible Lessons.  You will also see a tab called "Advanced Bible Studies".  You can learn more about it below.

Diana's Journal
Diana's Journal has been around for a while.  Since 2009 I've, been sharing my poems, thoughts and other creative pieces.  I haven't been writing poetry lately so I hope that doing this blog will get me back into it.  There are a variety of articles on there so please feel free to browse through them and find something you like!

Diana's Home Recipes
This page is where you can find vegan recipes straight from my kitchen.  My parents raised me to be vegetarian and, even though my mom isn't anymore, she teaches me how to make animal product-free dishes.  I will also spend time cooking with my sister-in-law who is also a total vegetarian.  I am excited to share some of they healthy foods that you can enjoy preparing for you and your family.

Diana's Bible Lessons
I have always wanted to write Bible lessons for people to encourage their study.  Here is the page where you can find many of the studies I've made.  I will often ask you to look up the verses for yourself so make sure you have a Bible on hand.  I recommend the King James Version.  If you don't have a Bible, the references will be highlighted in red and when you click on it, it will lead you to a Bible website already on that verse.  I will make a post that will have a link to some online Bibles as well as a FREE downloadable Bible.   Anyway, if you want to get emails of these studies, you can sign up on the page for my email list.  I'll try to get one lesson out every week.  Each lesson is prepared thoughtfully and prayerfully.  I pray that they will be a blessing to you.

Advanced Bible Studies
In about 2009, my family would have Bible studies going through the book of Revelation.  I would take notes and post them on my Dad's blog called www.theupperoom.  This page link will bring you to this blog.  When you click on the tab, it will bring you off of my blog page and there is no link on his blog to bring you back to mine.  You can always hit the back arrow if you want to visit me again! I call it advanced Bible studies because you'll have to know what we're talking about in order to be able to follow the study.  We only started posting on about the tenth of thirty studies that we had so there is no foundation there for new studiers to build off of.  Feel free to ask questions on that blog.  My dad and I will be sure to answer.
